[And sure enough, he'll make his way there. He has actually learned to knock if only because Zack's place is really the only one he can barge in at any time. Other people have an issue with those kinds of things.]

[ John will open the door and let him into the room, which resembles a 1934 hospital room more than anything. In one direction is the kitchen, another the bathroom, and the last an incredibly comfortable looking room with lots of seating and shelves. ]

[He opens his right hand, palm up, to reveal a black orb.]

I need someone to keep this safe. I trust you will be able to do that. But I also need for this to stay between us. Can you do that?

[Sort of emphasizing this act. Zack and Cloud would do the hero thing if he were to give it to them. John seems to understand the parts that both of them do not. This is why he choose him out of anyone else.]
