[ He's heading for the door to open it, swinging it wide to reveal Misty. ]

Um, then let me look at it again, John.

[She pushes off the desk with her palms, trying to stand upright, but immediately collapses woozily back against it.]

[Pagan groans as he steps inside, going instantly to her, cupping her face in his hands, inspecting her for any bumps or bruises.]

What the fuck.

Care to explain now?

Or you could listen to someone trying to save you grief for five fucking seconds-

[ Huff. Growl. Huff. ]

The mural is disorienting. Apparently, I put a little too much of myself into the painting.

She didn't hit anything, just crumpled to the ground. I dragged her out and closed the door.

I'm going to make it in the Enclosure.

[She repeats, her eyes dazed and unfocused as she tries to look at Pagan. There are no bumps or bruises in evidence, but something is definitely disorienting her, and she quickly switches to leaning on him rather than leaning on the desk.]

I wasn't finished looking at it yet.

Ah, well, that explains exactly nothing, but telling her not to do something is going to make her want to do it more.

[He puts an arm around her.]

Come along, darling. I'm taking you to mine to rest.

[greatoldjohn]

[ Fine. Then he'll ignore Misty and look to Pagan. ]

I'm sorry. I genuinely didn't know it would affect her that way.

We can talk more about it once she's... resting.

Oh, he's not explaining it right.

[She scoffs quietly, shuffling forward and letting her eyes drift shut.]

It was mesmerizing.

Yes, darling, so is a lava lamp, but you shouldn't stick your fucking hand in it. Now, hold tight and I'll carry you.

[He glances to John.]

Get the door for me, hm? Thank you for calling me.

[greatoldjohn]

[ He floats over to get the door. ]

We should probably talk later. Do you need me to help with the door once you get there?

I'm fine, Pagan. I'm just a little dizzy!

[Except she's practically slurring her words, and when he goes to lift her, she doesn't resist at all. Curling an arm around his shoulders, she goes boneless against him, hanging on tight.

It's sort of nice, being carried. Not that she'll ever admit that out loud.]

Yes, thank you. Come along and help, if you please.

[He lifts her easily and holds her against him, walking to the door, addressing her softly.]

You're going to sleep and you're not going to raise a fuss at me about it and we'll certainly be talking about this when you're back to your proper self.

[ John closes the door behind him and floats along with them. ]

If it helps, we were having a pretty decent discussion before this happened.

Stop talking about me like I'm not here!

[Misty says, her voice muffled against Pagan's shirt.]

And walk-- walk slowly. My head is killing me.

[He shifts his arm a little to cradle her head.] The faster we get there, the faster we can get you in bed. And don't whine at him - you need to be resting.

[He glances to John's form.]

Do I need to get outside help for her?

[greatoldjohn]

No. It should wear off within an hour, if that.

[ And to Misty- ]

I wasn't talking about you like you weren't here, Misty. I thought you'd agree.

Well, that remains to be seen. We'll see how I feel "within the hour".

[He rolls his eyes, but once they're back up to the first floor, he gestures to the door with his foot.]

That one, if you please.

[She is going right to the guest room to lie down.]

[greatoldjohn]

[ John does as asked, and he'll stay outside until Pagan comes back unless told otherwise. ]

Painkillers?

[She murmurs, flopping onto the bed and sinking into the mattress the second that she's plopped down.]

Water?

[crab_rangoon]

[Shoes first. He takes those off and peeks out the door.]

Come in, John. Don't lurk in the fucking hallway.

[The water and aspirin are given next, right into her hands.]

[ John makes a slightly grumpy noise but he doesn't object, so he'll float in and close the door behind him, taking a moment to look around. He takes down the impression so that he can give it to Arthur later and then he's following along. ]

I didn't want to assume.

[citizendetective]

He's right. This is technically my bedroom.

[Though she doesn't actually sound annoyed, and she certainly doesn't tell John to stay out. Popping the pills into her mouth, she chases them with water, then drops back onto the bed with a heavy sigh.]

And this is my fucking cabin and I won't have guests standing - well, floating - in the hallway. Now you stay here. John and I need to chat. Go to sleep.

[He gestures to the kitchen.]

[ There's one last glance of concern at Misty before he floats into the kitchen as asked.]
